Job Title: Business Development Representative
Position Summary:
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you’ll serve as a critical link between marketing and sales—fueling pipeline growth, accelerating lead conversion, and supporting Sales Executives with strategic and tactical execution. This role combines inside sales effort, conference and field engagement, and sales enablement to support the full buyer journey.
You’ll be a vital player in our revenue engine: managing outreach, identifying emerging RFP opportunities, surfacing competitive intelligence, and contributing to a mission-driven team that delivers high-value solutions to health plans and other strategic partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Market Intelligence
- Conduct initial discovery calls to understand plan priorities, budget sensitivity, and solution needs.
- Monitor the market for relevant RFPs or procurement activities aligned with our offerings and share early intelligence with the sales team.
- Maintain and refine targeted outreach lists in collaboration with marketing.
- Identify early buying signals and qualify leads for Sales Executive follow-up.
- Capture and share competitive insights to support pricing and positioning.
Sales Process Support
- Partner closely with Sales Executives to support pre-sales activities, follow-ups, and stakeholder mapping.
- Assist in gathering reference materials, case studies, and documentation.
- Maintain CRM hygiene—logging stakeholder details, meeting notes, and next steps.
- Draft follow-up emails, meeting summaries, and “snackable” client resources.
- Prepare briefing documents and internal handoff summaries to implementation teams.
Prospect Engagement & Administrative Support
- Support communication with prospects and clients across all phases of the deal cycle.
- Help schedule and prepare materials for prospect/client meetings, check-ins, and demos.
- Monitor account activity and flag opportunities for deeper engagement or upsell.
- Track feedback and help surface service issues or retention risks early.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure prospecting efforts are aligned with campaigns and content strategy.
- Prepare for and support field activities like industry conferences and client events.
- Monitor account engagement metrics and flag trends that may impact sales strategy or handoff timing.
- Document insights to ensure a seamless transition from sales to implementation.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or other related fields
- 2+ years in a BDR, sales associate, or client development role (healthcare/healthtech a plus)
- Comfortable with outbound prospecting, qualifying opportunities, and building rapport with senior stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Naturally curious, detail-oriented, and motivated by learning and solving problems
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment), and proactive with follow-up and documentation
- Excel fluency, CRM fluency (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)
- Experience with BI or analytics is a plus
- Bonus: Familiarity with RFP tracking tools, Medicare Advantage landscape, or value-based care models

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $70,000-75,000 with an additional commission structure. We do consider a wide range of factors when making offer decisions, including (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, a candidate’s relevant skills, training, experience, education and where applicable, licensure and certifications obtained. We also consider organizational and market factors when making offer decisions.
