About Knowtex Knowtex is building the future of voice AI operating systems for clinicians, transforming how healthcare documentation happens at the point of care. Founded by Stanford AI scientists with deep clinical experience, we're experiencing explosive growth across both commercial health systems and federal healthcare, with our ambient documentation platform scaling rapidly to thousands of clinicians across hundreds of specialties. We're at an inflection point where cutting-edge AI meets real clinical impact, giving clinicians hours back each day to focus on what matters most - their patients.

Position Overview We’re looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to help scale Knowtex’s go-to-market efforts across midmarket and enterprise healthcare customers. Today, Knowtex operates with a founder-led sales motion, and this role will work closely with founders and senior leadership to build pipeline through thoughtful outbound, inbound qualification, and early discovery.

You’ll play a critical role in shaping first impressions with prospective customers, developing early market signals, and helping translate complex clinical workflows into meaningful conversations. This is a high-impact role with significant visibility, ownership, and opportunity to grow as the sales organization scales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting and inbound lead follow-up

  • Research and identify prospective healthcare organizations, clinical leaders, and decision-makers

  • Execute personalized outreach across email, phone, and LinkedIn

  • Qualify prospects by understanding their clinical workflows, documentation challenges, and decision processes

  • Book meetings and hand off qualified opportunities to leadership partners

  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and activity logging in our CRM

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Leadership to refine messaging and targeting

  • Share feedback from prospects to help inform product positioning and GTM strategy

  • Support experiments around outbound motion, messaging, and vertical targeting as we scale

Required Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or similar customer-facing role (We welcome strong new graduates with relevant internships, projects, or demonstrated interest in sales or healthcare technology.)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfort navigating complex or regulated industries (healthcare mid-market and enterprise preferred)

  • Curious, coachable, and motivated by impact and learning

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage environment with evolving processes

  • Interest in healthcare, AI, or enterprise technology

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling into healthcare systems and providers

  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales engagement platforms

  • Experience working alongside founder-led or early sales teams

  • Interest in building processes, not just following them

Compensation & Benefits

  • Meaningful equity compensation

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Premium health, dental, and vision coverage

  • 401(k) plan

  • Hybrid work model: 3 days/week in our San Francisco office

What We Do

Knowtex captures natural conversation between a clinician and patient, identifies relevant medical information, and generates a pre-filled note with medical coding suggestions, for clinician review and sign-off.

For clinicians, we’re decreasing time spent on manual documentation and allowing them to focus on patient care. For healthcare organizations, we’re improving accuracy and efficiency in medical billing and coding to help with reimbursements.
