JOB SUMMARY

The Business Development Representative (BDR) focus is achieving the overall goal of obtaining new business resulting in revenue generation. This position is responsible for guiding prospective clients through qualifications, initial solicitation, presentation of services, contract discussions, initial onboarding, and continued support. The BDR collaborates with other Premium departments including the client management team to help new customers onboard, resolve customer issues, identify additional growth opportunities, and obtain renewal contracts.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize resources to identify prospective companies, contacts, and solicitation methods.
  • Develop sales techniques specific to the industry segments of focus.
  • Participate in industry events and conferences to utilize as a solicitation method.
  • Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of customers’ needs, experiences, priorities, and objectives to utilize in our solicitation, onboarding, and client management processes.
  • Collaborate with other Premium departments to provide quick solutions to all customer issues or escalations and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Focus on assigned industry revenue growth segment but be a resource to other BDR’s.
  • Achieve individual sales metrics and overall sales team performance goals.
  • Responsible for pushing the sales process to completion.
  • Maintain contact and support for customers until they are fully transitioned to the Program management team.
  • Other reasonable directives, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
  • Manage all activities in companies CRM system.

 

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Administration or a related field is required.
  • Seven (7) years’ experience in sales, account management, or a related field is required.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in obtaining and managing large account portfolios is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

  • Continuous sitting and tasks involving repetitive motions using wrists, hands and fingers are required for periods of 6-8+ hours at a time.
  • Business travel is expected ~2-3 times per month.
  • Occasional walking or standing is required.
  • Occasional carrying of weights from 0-25 pounds may be required.
  • This job operates in an office environment.

 

COMPENSATION EXPECTATIONS

The anticipated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000, plus bonus/commission program and includes benefits such as the following:

WHAT YOU DO

  • Manage customer accounts! The Senior Account Manager serves as the main Patriot contact for customer accounts. You will forecast and track account metrics, lead customers on board, and build or maintain positive working relationships with customers, all while providing quality customer service.
  • Satisfy with our customer base! You will devise and perform account plans to identify opportunities for growing customer accounts, determine potential new clients, and set financial targets. Once identified, the Senior Account manager will contact potential clients about Patriot’s offerings.
  • Collaborate with other departments! You will collaborate with other departments to provide quick resolutions to customer issues or escalations and improve the overall productivity of Patriot, such as assisting the Sales Department in reaching their sales targets.

 

WHAT YOU NEED

  • A bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Administration or a related field is required.
  • Seven (7) years’ experience in Account Management or a related field is required.
  • Two (2) years’ experience managing large account portfolios is preferred.
