JOB SUMMARY:
As a Business Development Representative, you will have the opportunity to develop your book of business with our intermodal, highway and drayage capabilities. You will have the systems and support needed to grow in an ever-changing marketplace. Your customers will be introduced to USMMG’s national network of port drayage, transload, over the road and intermodal. It is a great opportunity for those who thrive by solving customers’ problems.
This position is required to be on-site daily in the Franklin, TN office location, no relocation package will be provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify shipping clients and develop long-term relationships.
- Price, quote and book freight for your customer base
- Use our TMS to manage your business and day-to-day operations
- Drive highway, drayage and intermodal growth.
- Negotiate with shippers and carriers
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Industry knowledge of Intermodal, Drayage, Brokerage, and Warehousing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of proven success in freight brokerage or dray brokerage
- Established shipper relationships with a track record of growing a book of business.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-growth or fast-paced environment.
- Industry knowledge of Intermodal, Drayage, Brokerage, and Warehousing.
- Strong negotiation skills and a competitive, results-driven mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and TMS platforms (or a fast learner).
