The Business Development Representative (BDR) is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the VP of Sales. The successful candidate will play a critical role in expanding our presence in key territories and converting prospects into Conviva sales opportunities.
As Conviva’s BDR, you will work closely with the Marketing Team to help optimize the volume and quality of inbound Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and develop Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs). You will also coordinate directly with the sales team to ensure the quality of inbound MQLs, develop SQLs, and coordinate directly with the sales team to ensure and encourage account development through outbound prospecting, social selling, networking, attending trade shows, and field marketing events. In summary, you will be the first line of engagement with future customers and will impact the success of Conviva as an organization.
What Success Will Look Like:
- Develop and execute cold calling and email campaign strategies to qualify potential customers as a match for Conviva’s Operational Data Platform.
- Develop SQLs, qualify outbound opportunities, and develop a strong demo and in-person meetings pipeline for Sales Directors via phone and email.
- Work with Marketing to generate a high volume of relevant MQLs.
- Articulate Conviva value proposition via demos, presentations, emails, and phone calls.
- Meet weekly and monthly qualified opportunity goals to ensure company revenue objectives are met.
- Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of Conviva technology, industry trends, and competition.
Who You Are & What You've Done:
- 1-3 years of experience in a BDR/SDR role (outbound lead generation) in a fast-paced environment, ideally in a startup software environment.
- Ability to uncover and match prospects' pain points to Conviva’s offerings.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic, and growth mindset and a drive for achievement.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Good knowledge/experience in Search Engine Marketing.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Passion for technology.
- Business Degree preferred.
The expected salary range for this full-time position is an on-target earnings of $110,000 - $120,000 + equity + benefits. Compensation is determined by numerous factors such as your qualifications, experience, relevant education or training, and work location.
