The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and accomplished Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our rapidly growing commercial team at Linus Health. As the next BDR hire, you will have a unique opportunity to help build a new function and contribute meaningfully to both our company growth and mission, partnering closely with both marketing and sales.
Hours & Preferred Location:
Our HQ is in Boston, however we have a fully remote team located throughout the US, Canada, Scotland & Ireland. While this person can be fully remote, we are seeking candidates that are able to work territories within Central and Eastern time zones. The core business hours will be either 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm. There may also be times where work needs to be completed outside of those hours. Lastly, this person may be expected to travel to Boston 1-2 times a year for a company gathering, department meeting/summit, etc.
What You’ll Do:
- Generate new business pipeline and develop a targeted list of accounts through prospecting outbound opportunities
- Maintain responsibility for lead qualification and follow-up for inbound leads from marketing sources (digital, events, third party vendors, webinars, etc.) to convert them into opportunities for the sales team
- Gain interest through outbound cold calling and emailing across a set of existing Salesforce accounts
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads according to the established BDR playbook framework via email, phone, LinkedIn, and Zoom
- Establish rapport with all levels of prospects including senior executives
- Provide feedback for process improvement based on insights gathered from the field
- Research prospects and help prepare sales team members for all meetings scheduled on their behalf
- Create and execute strategic nurture campaigns to progress inbound leads into sales qualified leads
- Play an instrumental role in pre-event outreach and post-event follow-up to engage and convert leads from trade shows and other industry events
- Build outbound campaigns in partnership with the sales team to engage target organizations and personas proactively via email, calls, LinkedIn etc.
- Track activity using Salesforce
About You:
Must Haves:
- 2+ years of prior experience as a BDR or SDR
- B2B Sales Experience
- Experience within the healthcare industry
- Track record of consistently hitting BDR/SDR performance targets
- Salesforce experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to engage effectively and professionally with senior-level prospects
- Go-getter attitude and ability to operate effectively with a fast-paced startup
- Knowledge of and commitment to following marketing best practices and complying with privacy and email communication regulations
Nice To Haves:
- Experience and/or familiarity with HubSpot, Definitive Healthcare, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Gong
- Software sales experience
- Experience selling into healthcare organizations (private physician practices, primary care organizations)
- Experience as a healthcare provider

- The base salary range budgeted for this position is $50,000 - $65,000 (USD) per year. The role will include a commission component as well as company equity. The final offer determined for the candidate hired to this position will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant skills, professional experience, labor market conditions, etc.
