Classification: ExemptWhat We're AboutPixis Drones creates breathtaking drone shows that illuminate the night sky. We blend creative storytelling with cutting-edge technology to produce aerial displays that create unforgettable brand experiences. As we grow, we are building the pipeline, partnerships, and pitches that turn bold creative ideas into revenue. What This Role Is AboutThe Business Development Representative is the front line of Pixis Drones' revenue engine. Your primary job is to open doors: prospecting, cold calling, and running high-volume outbound campaigns that turn target accounts into qualified meetings and pipeline for our sales and leadership team. You will own the top of the funnel, from building target lists and making first contact through qualification, meeting setting, and hand-off, and then help move deals through proposal and close with research, pitch materials, and follow-through.
This role is ideal for a competitive, coachable hunter who is energized by the phone, proactive and hungry to succeed, and motivated by measurable goals. If you have sold sponsorships, suites, premium seating, or hospitality for a team, league, or venue, you already know our buyers and how they buy, and you will ramp quickly in a company where creative spectacle meets real revenue.
What You'll Do:Outbound Prospecting & Cold Calling
  • Own outbound prospecting as your primary daily focus, running a high-volume cadence of cold emails, calls, LinkedIn touches, and follow-ups.
  • Cold call decision-makers every day at marketing agencies, professional and collegiate sports teams, leagues, stadiums and arenas, entertainment properties, and Fortune 500 brands.
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly targets for dials, conversations, meetings booked, and qualified pipeline created.
  • Build and run multi-touch outbound sequences across phone, email, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and sales engagement tools (Lemlist, HubSpot Sequences, ZoomInfo, etc.).
  • Develop and refine email message sequences, call scripts, talk tracks, voicemails, and objection handling, and take part in regular call reviews and coaching.
  • Book qualified discovery meetings for leadership, with clean hand-off notes on the prospect's needs, budget, timing, and decision-makers.
  • Time outreach around the moments where drone shows fit: season openers, rivalry games, playoffs, halftime and pre-game entertainment, fan fests, venue openings, holidays, and brand launches.
  • Prospect in person at trade shows, industry conferences, and sports business events.
Pipeline & Sales Operations
  • Research and build targeted prospect lists, identifying decision-makers in partnerships, sponsorship activation, marketing, events, and premium hospitality.
  • Qualify inbound leads and follow up the same business day.
  • Manage HubSpot CRM: log every call, email, and meeting, and keep pipeline stages and data accurate across all Hubspot objects and for all sales reps.
  • Generate weekly pipeline and activity reports covering calls, emails sent, replies received, meetings set, conversion rates, and pipeline value.
  • Conduct industry, sponsorship, competitive, and company research, and build executive briefing documents before meetings.
  • Move opportunities forward from initial outreach through proposal development and deal progression.
  • Leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, etc.) to accelerate research, personalize outreach at scale, and continuously improve workflows through automation.
Pitch, Proposal & Creative
  • Build professional, customized pitch decks, proposals, and pricing materials for the opportunities you source.
  • Coordinate proposal timelines across leadership, creative, finance, and operations.
  • Brainstorm campaign and activation concepts tailored to each client.
  • Manage revisions through proposal and contracting.
  • Maintain a centralized library of decks, outbound sequences, call scripts, prospect lists, videos, renderings, pricing templates, case studies, and collateral.
Leadership & Deal Support
  • Prepare leadership for meetings and presentations, and draft client communications.
  • Capture meeting notes, action items, and next steps, and track follow-ups so no opportunity goes cold.
  • Support onsite activations and major client events, using them to build relationships and generate referrals.
  • Take on special projects from leadership as needed without losing focus on outbound activity.
What Makes You Successful in This Role:Required
  • 1–3+ years of outbound sales or business development experience, ideally in a quota-carrying SDR/BDR, inside sales, or ticket sales role.
  • A proven track record of high-volume cold calling and meeting generation, with activity and results you can speak to.
  • Confidence on the phone and resilience in the face of rejection, objections, and gatekeepers.
  • Competitive, goal-driven, and coachable, motivated by clear activity and pipeline targets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter who manages a full pipeline and changing priorities with minimal direction.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Sport Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Ideal Candidate: Sports Property Sales Experience
  • Experience selling sponsorships, suites, premium seating, or hospitality for a professional or collegiate team, league, stadium, arena, or live-event venue.
  • Existing relationships with partnership, sponsorship activation, marketing, game-day entertainment, or event decision-makers at teams, leagues, venues, and brands.
  • A working understanding of how sports properties and brand partners buy, including sponsorship inventory, activation budgets, and the sales calendar around a season.
  • Experience with HubSpot CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Lemlist (or similar oubound outreach tool), ZoomInfo, and AI tools for sales productivity.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Apple Keynote.
  • Creative, resourceful, and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
