As we continue to grow and expand our presence in the market we are seeking a driven and proactive Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team. 
 

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating qualified pipeline by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective customers. This role works closely with marketing and sales to drive new business opportunities and support revenue growth.  This is an individual contributor role.  The BDR will report to the VP of Marketing. 

  

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify and research target accounts within defined industries and ICP criteria 

  • Execute outbound prospecting campaigns (email, phone, LinkedIn, events) 

  • Follow up on inbound marketing leads in a timely and professional manner 

  • Book qualified discovery meetings for Account Executives 

  • Maintain consistent activity levels to meet pipeline creation targets 

  • Provide feedback on messaging effectiveness and lead quality 

  • Support Account-Based Marketing (ABM) outreach for priority accounts 

  • Update HubSpot (RightCrowd CRM) with daily BDR activity 

  • Attend regularly scheduled sales, marketing and technical meetings and trainings 

  • Clearly articulate RightCrowd’s value proposition 

  

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales development, or lead generation (preferably in B2B SaaS or physical security/identity management industry) 

  • Track record of success in cold outreach and lead qualification 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; confident and persuasive in verbal and written communication 

  • Resilient and self-motivated with a strong work ethic and desire to grow in sales 

  • Experience using CRM tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar 

  • Prior experience working collaboratively with sales and marketing teams
