The Role
Own top-of-funnel outbound to support, operations, and QA leaders: research accounts, cold-call, run multichannel outreach, qualify inbound, book and prep meetings, keep HubSpot updated, and feed market insights to product and marketing.

The Role

Support teams are drowning in tickets, and most of them still measure quality with a spreadsheet and a gut feeling.
Kaizo fixes that. But right now, plenty of the exact companies who need us have never heard our name. That is the gap you close. As our BDR, you are the
first conversation a support leader ever has with Kaizo.
This is an entry-level role, but it is not a lead-routing machine. You will research accounts, pick up the phone, write outreach that does not read like outreach, and turn cold companies into warm meetings for our Account Executives. You own the top of the funnel.

Is this you?
  • You are not scared of the phone. You actually like the challenge of getting a busy Head of Support to stop scrolling and reply.

  • You hear “no” ten times before lunch and it does not dent you, because you know the eleventh conversation is the one that matters.

  • You are curious. You ask why. You take feedback on Monday and you have applied it by Tuesday.

  • You want to learn B2B sales properly, from people who close six-figure deals, not from a slide deck.

If that sounds like you, keep reading.

Why Kaizo?

Kaizo is not your typical SaaS company. We are AI-native, product-led, and scaling fast in a space that is ripe for reinvention: quality assurance for customer support teams.
We plug natively into Zendesk and Salesforce Service Cloud, automatically review 100% of support conversations, and help support leaders coach their agents with data instead of guesswork.
Teams at Foot Locker Europe, Trading 212, UiPath, GetYourGuide, SteelSeries, and EverHelp already use Kaizo to scale quality without scaling headcount. Demand is outpacing our outbound. We need someone to go and start the conversations.

What's it like working here?
  • It's fast, honest, and very human.
We're transparent to a fault, allergic to egos, and obsessed with building a culture that works as hard as our product.

  • We do daily check-ins. Frequent huddles. Remote team weeks.

  • We don't micromanage - but we do expect you to own your outcomes.

  • This is a team of thoughtful builders. You'll be trusted, stretched, and supported.

👉
If you want a comfy role with a huge team, a fat budget, and every playbook already written, this is not it. If you want to learn the craft of sales properly, own the first conversation with our future customers, and earn your way into an AE seat, this is your shot.

What you will actually be doing
  • Prospect into support, operations, and QA leaders at companies running Zendesk or Salesforce, across e-commerce, fintech, gaming, SaaS, and BPOs

  • Run real multichannel outbound: cold calls, personalised email sequences, and LinkedIn. Cold calling is a daily habit here, not an occasional dare

  • Build and enrich target account lists with Apollo, Clay, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator

  • Qualify inbound from demos, support tickets and website visits, and respond fast

  • Book and prep qualified meetings for AEs, then follow the deal so you learn what happens after the handoff

  • Keep HubSpot clean. Log activity, track your funnel, know your own numbers cold

  • Feed what you hear back to marketing and product. You talk to the market every day and that insight matters here

What you bring
  • 6 months to 2 years in sales, business development, or another customer-facing role

  • You have touched a CRM before. HubSpot is a bonus, any CRM counts

  • Some exposure to SaaS or startups, as an employee, intern, or genuinely curious user

  • Comfortable making cold calls and staying upbeat through a lot of rejection

  • Fluent written and spoken English. You can write a short, clear email a busy Head of Support actually reads

  • Coachable, curious, organised. You manage your own pipeline without being chased

  • Based in Amsterdam, or remotely in Europe

Nice to have
  • Experience with sales tools like HubSpot, Apollo, Clay, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator

  • A background in customer support or service, so you already know the world our buyers live in

  • Additional European languages (French, Spanish, German)

  • Familiarity with Zendesk or Salesforce, even just as a user

What success looks like in your first 6 months

Month 1: You know the product, the ideal customer, and our core proof points. You listen to recorded calls, shadow AEs, and start outreach before the month is out.

Months 2 to 3: You run full outbound sequences, call daily, and book your first qualified meetings. You hit ramp targets for activity and meetings.

Months 4 to 6: You consistently hit your monthly quota of qualified meetings, those meetings convert into real pipeline, and you have your own view on what messaging works for which persona.

The deal
  • Our goal is to grow BDRs into Account Executives within 12 to 24 months

  • Direct coaching from senior salespeople who are in deals every day, not a distant enablement team

  • Uncapped commission on meetings and pipeline

  • A modern sales stack (HubSpot, Apollo, Clay) so you spend your time selling, not fighting tools

  • Small team, big ownership. Your experiments with messaging and targeting actually ship

  • An international team in Amsterdam working on a product customers genuinely like using

Employment

Where you are based decides the type of agreement we offer:

  • Based in the Netherlands: we offer a full employment contract

  • Based outside the Netherlands: we offer a standard contractor agreement

Our hiring process

We're fast but thorough. Here's how it flows:

  • Intro Call to explore motivation, alignment, and answer early questions

  • First Interview with the Sales lead to dig into your experience and how you think about outbound

  • Practical Exercise a short, relevant challenge (think prospecting and a mock outreach) to get a feel for how you work

  • Deep Dive Interview with Sales leadership for real talk and real feedback

  • Team Fit Interview a casual 30-minute chat with the wider team, because fit goes both ways

We respect your time and promise transparency every step of the way.

How to apply

Send us your CV. No cover letter needed. Instead, tell us about a time you set an ambitious goal and hit it. If you have made cold calls before, tell us your favourite opener.

We read every application and reply to everyone. If this sounds like your next step, apply now. We would love to talk.

Equal opportunities at Kaizo

We are building a team that reflects the diverse world we live in. We welcome applications from all backgrounds, identities, and walks of life. What matters to us is what you bring, not your postcode, gender, age, or the name on your degree. If this sounds like the right role but you are not sure you tick every box, apply anyway. We care more about mindset than checkboxes.
