About the Role
CentralReach is seeking a motivated, results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing Education Sales team. This role is responsible for identifying and engaging prospective school districts, educational organizations, and key decision-makers to generate qualified sales opportunities for our Account Executives.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator who thrives on building relationships through outbound prospecting. They are comfortable making high-volume phone calls, crafting thoughtful and personalized email outreach, and engaging administrators within the education market. Experience working in or selling to K-12 education organizations is required, with experience in special education strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate qualified meetings and sales opportunities for Account Executives through proactive outbound prospecting.
- Conduct high-volume outbound phone calls and personalized email campaigns to engage prospective customers.
- Research target accounts and identify key decision-makers within school districts and educational organizations.
- Build relationships with administrators and other education leaders to understand their needs and challenges.
- Qualify prospects based on established criteria and accurately document activities in Salesforce (or CRM).
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives to ensure a seamless transition from prospecting to sales engagement.
- Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects through multiple communication channels.
- Meet or exceed activity, meeting, and pipeline generation goals.
- Stay informed on education industry trends, particularly within special education, to effectively position CentralReach solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of experience in business development, sales development, inside sales, or a similar customer-facing role.
- Experience working with or selling to administrators in the K-12 education market is required.
- Experience in special education, either professionally or through selling technology or services into special education programs, is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success with outbound prospecting, including cold calling and email outreach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create compelling, personalized messaging.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and sales engagement tools is preferred.
