This role is ideal for early-career professionals who are eager to learn consultative sales, develop business development expertise, and help organizations connect with highly qualified talent through industry-specific career centers.

As a BDR, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging recruiters, talent acquisition leaders, and hiring managers at organizations that have not yet utilized the YM Careers Network. This role is an excellent fit for someone who enjoys building relationships, is energized by prospecting and outreach, and wants a clear path for career growth in sales and recruitment marketing. YM Careers provides comprehensive training, structured onboarding, ongoing coaching, and mentorship from experienced sales leaders.

A Day in the Life

  • Research and identify prospective employers, recruiters, and talent acquisition professionals within target organizations.
  • Prospect new business opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn networking, and other outbound sales activities.
  • Engage hiring decision-makers in consultative conversations to understand their recruitment challenges, hiring goals, and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Educate prospective clients on the value of niche career centers and how YM Careers helps employers connect with highly qualified industry-specific talent.
  • Qualify opportunities and schedule introductory meetings and product demonstrations for the sales team.
  • Utilize tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and other prospecting platforms to build and manage pipeline activity.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and teammates to refine messaging, outreach strategies, and prospecting best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions, activities, and opportunities within Salesforce.
  • Develop expertise in recruitment advertising, talent acquisition trends, and the unique hiring needs of professional associations and their employer communities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to plan and deliver monthly webinars for recruiters, generating engagement, nurturing prospects, and creating new business opportunities for the sales team.
  • Attend recruiting and talent acquisition industry conferences and trade shows to network with prospective clients, increase brand awareness, and identify new sales opportunities.

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently generating qualified sales opportunities for the Account Executive team.
  • Building a strong pipeline of prospective employers across multiple industries.
  • Developing confidence in outbound prospecting, discovery conversations, and value-based selling.
  • Becoming a trusted resource for organizations seeking effective ways to attract specialized talent.
  • Contributing to the continued growth and success of the YM Careers Network.
