As a Business Development Representative, you will build relationships, generate and cultivate business leads, and set onsite appointments for the outside sales team. You will be responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual quotas while driving pipeline growth through proactive outreach and engagement. We are seeking applicants with strong communication skills, a passion for sales, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Engage in a mix of cold outreach and warm lead follow-up via phone, email, and social media, with “warm” defined as prospects responding to marketing campaigns
  • Cultivate net-new prospects and build pipeline through outbound prospecting efforts, including identifying targets, preparing for outreach, and handing off qualified leads to sales
  • Interact with mid-sized to large businesses and C-level roles to uncover opportunities
  • Assist sales counterparts by delivering qualified leads and cultivating new prospects to help achieve revenue objectives
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly scorecard metrics such as scheduled calls, completed calls, qualified opportunities, and deals
  • Conduct market research to support Territory Managers and continuously learn Epicor’s applications, value propositions, and differentiators to enhance conversations
  • Enter and maintain accurate data in the customer relationship management (CRM) system

What you will likely bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in business management or marketing
  • 1+ year of experience in customer service, call center, or inside sales
  • 1+ year of experience in related industries such as manufacturing, distribution, retail, lumber, or automotive
  • Knowledge of marketing and sales processes

What could set you apart:

  • Excellent phone presence, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to answer prospect and customer questions about company products, services, and implementation
  • Leadership potential and a desire to grow into future leadership roles
  • Preferred experience in telephone sales or solution selling within the software industry
  • Prior experience managing leads through preliminary sales stages and involvement in achieving quota goals is a plus

Range:

Minimum: $40,000 USD Maximum: $100,000 USD

The salary range provided reflects the national average for this job title and does not represent compensation specific to Epicor Software Corporation. Actual compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and market factors relevant to the position.
