About the Role

PM Home Health is seeking a motivated, outgoing, and relationship-driven Business Development Representative to join our team and support growth throughout Maryland. This position is responsible for developing strong referral relationships with healthcare providers, facilities, community organizations, and other referral partners while generating qualified referrals and increasing awareness of PM Home Health services. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys being in the community, building meaningful professional relationships, and achieving measurable results.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, case managers, social workers, senior communities, and community organizations throughout Maryland.
  • Generate qualified referrals and new business opportunities for PM Home Health.
  • Identify and develop new referral sources while strengthening existing partnerships.
  • Conduct facility visits, presentations, educational sessions, networking activities, and community outreach.
  • Represent PM Home Health at healthcare, professional, and community events.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with referral partners, prospective clients, and families.
  • Collaborate with admissions, clinical, operations, and leadership teams to support successful referrals and admissions.
  • Maintain an active referral pipeline and accurately track outreach, referrals, follow-up, and results.
  • Identify opportunities for additional organizational services and ensure appropriate handoff.
  • Participate in weekly Business Development meetings and provide updates on activity, opportunities, and results.
  • Meet established referral, growth, census, revenue, and other performance goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare business development, sales, marketing, referral development, or community outreach preferred.
  • Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-up and time-management skills.
  • Self-motivated, professional, and results oriented.
  • Comfortable working independently and traveling throughout assigned Maryland territory.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
