The sales organization is expanding alongside a team of engineers and AI researchers.
The role and why it matters
As a Business Development Representative, you will build qualified pipeline for Account Executives through outbound prospecting and inbound lead qualification. You will learn technical AI sales by explaining inference and model-serving products to both business and technical buyers.
What you will do
• Prospect into target accounts through email, calls, and LinkedIn.
• Research accounts and prospects to create personalized outreach.
• Qualify inbound leads and hand off well-defined opportunities to Account Executives.
• Meet business opportunity and pipeline generation targets.
• Educate prospects on AI inference, open models, and scalable model serving.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing to improve messaging using market feedback.
• Keep current with AI and machine learning trends to hold informed customer conversations.
Requirements
What we are looking for
• Early-career sales experience through a BDR or SDR role, sales internship, or other sales work; the baseline target is zero to two years.
• Evidence of prospecting, lead qualification, customer engagement, or meeting sales targets.
• Clear communication and an interest in thoughtful conversations with technical and business buyers.
• A proactive, adaptable approach to research, prioritization, and collaboration.
• Curiosity about AI and willingness to learn technical products and sales tools.
• Availability for full-time onsite work in New York City or the San Francisco Bay Area, with existing US work authorization. Visa sponsorship is unavailable.
Bonus points
• Sales experience at a leading data, SaaS, or AI platform, or a startup.
• Familiarity with Python, SQL, Linux, Salesforce, Outreach, or Apollo.
• A bachelor’s degree in business analytics or equivalent practical experience.
Benefits
Compensation and benefits
• Base salary: $65K-$77K.
• On-target earnings: $85K-$110K.
• No equity is offered for this role.
• No relocation support is provided.
Location and work model
New York City Metropolitan Area, New York, or San Francisco Bay Area, California. Full-time, onsite. Candidates must be able to work from one of these locations without employer-funded relocation.
