Citrin Cooperman offers a dynamic work environment, fostering professional growth and collaboration. We’re continuously seeking talented individuals who bring a problem-solving mindset, fresh perspectives, and sharp technical expertise. We know you have choices, so our team of collaborative, innovative professionals are ready to support your professional development. At Citrin Cooperman, we offer competitive compensation and benefits and most importantly, the flexibility to manage your personal and professional life to focus on what matters most to you!
We are seeking a Business Development Representative to join our Sales team within the Sales and Marketing department. As a Business Development Representative, you are the front door to the firm. You will manage inbound demand and drive outbound prospecting, working closely with partners and Account Executives to build qualified pipeline across our service lines.
This is not an entry-level seat. We are looking for someone who has already learned the fundamentals somewhere else and is ready to operate with more independence, more complexity, and more ownership. You will be talking to senior buyers about sophisticated problems, so you will need to get smart on the firm quickly and communicate clearly when you do.
We are in a critical stage of growth, which means priorities shift and processes are still being written. The right person sees that as an opportunity rather than a frustration.
Responsibilities are, but not limited to:
- Manage inbound leads and website form submissions, qualify them quickly, and route them to the right service line leader with clean context and next steps.
- Prospect into target accounts through outbound email, phone, and LinkedIn, building pipeline for our Account Executives and Partners.
- Become a student of the firm. Learn our service lines, our industries, and our platforms well enough to position complex solutions in clear, concise language.
- Act as a trusted advisor to prospects and to internal partners, bringing insight to conversations rather than just booking time on a calendar.
- Work cross-functionally every day with marketing, alliances, Account Executives, and firm partners to align on account strategy and messaging.
- Maintain accurate, disciplined CRM hygiene in Dynamics 365, and track outreach, activity, and pipeline consistently.
- Bring ideas. Test new approaches, share what is working, and help us improve the playbook as we build it.
The ideal candidate must:
- Have 2 years’ minimum sales experience, ideally in a BDR, SDR, or similar client-facing role with measurable evidence of hitting goals and overachieving.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Have strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complicated things simply.
- Be comfortable speaking with senior leaders and holding a professional, credible conversation.
- Possess a general understanding of enterprise technology, advisory, accounting, or BPO solutions, and have the curiosity and drive to learn them fast.
- Be highly organized with strong time management and follow-through.
- Have experience with CRM and prospecting tools such as Dynamics 365, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus.
- Prior CPA or audit experience is a strong plus.
