As Business Development Lead, you'll lead large projects and transactions and develop solutions to sophisticated problems using your extensive knowledge of the natural gas industry in ways that are unique or innovative. You'll demonstrate superb communication and interpersonal skills as you interact with customers and provide your expertise negotiating various agreements. As Business Development Lead (Corporate Development M&A), you'll lead large projects and transactions and develop solutions to sophisticated challenges using your extensive knowledge of the natural gas industry in ways that are unique or innovative. You'll demonstrate superb communication and interpersonal skills as you interact with internal and external customers and stakeholders, and provide your expertise in negotiating various transaction related agreements. Your ability to develop and lead a network across multiple functions and influence others to gain support and dedication to get results are keys to success!
Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Leads projects and programs with significant risk and complexity to achieve breakthroughs and objectives
- Able to distill complex concepts concisely in writing, speech and presentation form for executive communication
- May lead or mentor others
- Understands all components of deal structure
- Partners with others on sophisticated opportunities; uses financial and quantitative information to guide actions and performance
- Considers industry and market trends when making decisions and balances strategic impact on the organization
- Develops opinions and challenges recommendations on basin, energy commodity markets, and customer and competitor intelligence based off third party tools and publications
- Builds strategies for development of industry insight and knowledge

Lead:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field and a minimum of fifteen (15) years’ related experience
- Preferred: MBA
Senior:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field and a minimum of seven (7) years’ related experience
- Preferred: MBA
III:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field and minimum of five (5) years’ related experience
- Preferred: MBA
- Knowledge of upstream, midstream or downstream assets
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of energy market fundamentals and economics including commodity pricing, basin market fundamentals and competitor strategies and actions
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of commercial aspects of the energy industry
- Considered a specialist regarding deal structure, contract terms, financial issues and other aspects of corporate development
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application, AI, and PC skills
