We are currently recruiting on behalf of our partner, an early-growth organization focused on expanding its market presence and revenue base. The company operates in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is seeking a commercially driven professional to support its growth and market positioning.

Role Overview

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and converting opportunities into sustainable revenue. As an early-stage company, this role requires a hands-on professional who can operate across the full business development cycle—from prospecting and opportunity shaping to proposal development and deal closure.

This role is suited to a commercially driven individual who is comfortable working in an evolving environment, building structure where needed, and contributing directly to the company’s early growth.

Pay: 550k (negotiable)

What You’ll Do

Business Development & Sales Growth

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across target markets and customer segments.

  • Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to support short- and medium-term revenue targets.

  • Proactively engage prospective customers through meetings, presentations, and relationship-building activities.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and manage strong relationships with customers, partners, and key decision-makers.

  • Understand customer needs and position the company’s services as practical, value-driven solutions.

  • Support customer retention and account growth through ongoing engagement.

Proposals, Bids & Presentations

  • Prepare and coordinate proposals, quotations, bids, and responses to RFPs and RFQs.

  • Develop clear and professional business presentations and pitch decks.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals are commercially sound and operationally deliverable.

Market & Opportunity Development

  • Research market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity.

  • Identify new service offerings or improvement opportunities based on market feedback.

  • Provide structured input to leadership on growth opportunities and market positioning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Operations, Finance, and Technical teams to support deal structuring and execution readiness.

  • Ensure smooth handover of closed deals to delivery teams.

  • Support the development of basic sales processes and reporting suitable for a startup environment.

Reporting & Performance Management

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasts.

  • Report regularly on progress against targets, challenges, and opportunities.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of business development tools and approaches.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5–8 years of experience in business development or B2B sales.

  • Proven ability to develop opportunities and close deals in services, infrastructure, or project-based environments.

  • Experience working in startups or fast-growing organizations is an advantage.
