What you'll be doing
- Achieve a high win percentage of the new business awards while generating high GP margins for new and existing accounts that meet/exceed new business revenue goals
- Have continuous engagement with customers to maintain close relationships and ensure ongoing success with accounts
- Consult with several levels of decision-makers to understand customers’ business challenges and logistics goals.
- Develop tailored logistics solutions that deliver value and support to the customer’s business strategy
- Build rapport and trust with customers by being informed about customers’ business and the market and support customer retention through collaboration with all resources including our Product teams, other sales channels, and local Station Management.
- Apply and receive regional and global tenders and coordinate as account owner with regional tender teams
- Close cooperation with Country Product Management to set selling price strategies for all assigned customer tender
- Incorporate the daily use of the SUGAR platform to document sales activity and relevant customer business details
- Managing opportunities and risks securing the interests of Rhenus A&O
- Taking part in all sales training provided and scheduled by Rhenus A&O
- Act as lead negotiator in a “closer” role during client presentations
- Support our “Young Generation” as Mentor
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in business/ Logistics or equivalent experience in logistics.
- A minimum of 5 years of field sales in freight forwarding (especially Air & Ocean)
- Decisions and Problem-Solving – analyzing information, evaluating results, and using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions
- Results Orientation – demonstrates a clear understanding of expected outcomes. Sets personal targets and strives to achieve them.
- Client Focused - able to anticipate and identify customers’ needs and expectations and what constitutes positive customer satisfaction
- Ability to think out of the box (Entrepreneur)
- Strong work ethic and integrity
- Willingness to travel as well as fluency in written and spoken English
- Strong negotiation skills
