The core mission of the role is to develop and expand ARAG's presence in the assigned international markets, driving growth and strengthening our position in strategic geographies.
The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in expanding ARAG’s presence across multiple international markets.
You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, scouting and mapping new customer bases, and building strong relationships with our clients.
Develop and expand ARAG’s presence in assigned international markets, with a focus on high‑priority regions in Europe.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through structured market mapping and scouting.
- Build and manage strong relationships directly with OEM customers and distribution networks.
- Conduct regular market visits (35–40% travel) to engage local stakeholders, understand market dynamics, and unlock new potential.
- Drive business development initiatives to increase market penetration and accelerate revenue growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align commercial strategies and offer tailored solutions to prospects.
- Monitor competitive landscape, customer behaviours, and industry trends to identify strategic opportunities.
- Prepare forecasts, market reports, and development plans to support business decisions.
- Represent ARAG at international trade fairs, exhibitions, and customer meetings.
- 2–4 years of experience in international business development or similar roles focused on opening new markets.
- Proven ability to manage direct market development—not through agents, but through direct customer engagement.
- Experience in technical B2B environments; preferred industries: fluid management, oleodynamics, hydraulic components
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Languages, or related fields.
- Fluent in English; German is a strong plus.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Availability to travel internationally (35–40%).
- Strong commercial mindset with structured, analytical approach to market development.
