We are seeking a senior commercial leader to drive Aerones’ growth and market presence in Spain. This hybrid role combines business development with country management responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a significant revenue base and long-term pipeline with major wind farm operators, OEMs, and service providers in Spain.
The role requires close collaboration with Aerones’ global account managers to ensure alignment on multinational customers, while also serving as the primary senior representative for Spanish clients and stakeholders. Although this position does not
carry direct operational responsibility, the Country Manager will support project execution locally and ensure customer issues are resolved in partnership with central operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth by developing a substantial pipeline of high-value opportunities with leading wind energy companies in Spain.
- Establish and expand Aerones’ presence as a trusted partner for large customers in the Spanish market.
- Coordinate closely with global account managers to align strategies for multinational customers and maximize value across regions.
- Lead senior-level engagement with key clients, industry bodies, and regulators to strengthen Aerones’ position in Spain.
- Act as the senior point of contact for Spanish customers, supporting operational execution and escalating issues as required.
- Provide strategic market intelligence on customer needs, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to guide Aerones’ European strategy.
- Represent Aerones at high-profile industry conferences, trade fairs, and client forums in Spain.
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts, revenue reporting, and performance updates to senior leadership.
- Build relationships with account managers with overlapping responsibilities (multi-national organizations) to jointly deliver account growth.
- Act as global account manager for select multi-national clients with significant decision-making in Spain.
- Expand sales into adjacent med. territories (e.g Portugal, Italy) on a market needs/attractiveness basis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in senior commercial, business development, or country leadership roles within renewable energy, wind, or industrial services.
- Proven track record of building significant revenue streams and multi- million-euro pipelines with major customers.
- Deep understanding of the Spanish wind energy market, including key players, regulatory environment, and growth trends.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and strategic relationship management skills.
- Native Spanish speaker with fluent English (additional languages a plus).
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently while collaborating across international teams.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Spain and internationally.
