Job Description

Responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, developing strategic growth plans, and driving revenue by proactively seeking out new markets and partnerships for the Pre-Engineered product line. Assist with operational aspects including production scheduling and prioritization as well as assembly training and operational optimization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Identifying new business opportunities:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential new clients, markets, and partnerships that align with company goals. 

Lead generation and prospecting:

  • Generate qualified leads through networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and utilizing marketing materials. 

Client relationship management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying potential upselling opportunities. 

Sales strategy development:

  • Create and execute strategic sales plans to target new markets and customer segments. 

Proposal writing and presentation:

  • Supports the entire sales organization and channels by reviewing specifications, providing technical sales support, visiting customers and developing compelling proposals and presentations to pitch business solutions to potential clients

Negotiation:

  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing with clients to secure profitable deals. 

Collaboration with sales teams:

  • Work closely with sales teams to qualify leads, manage the sales pipeline, and close deals. 

Market analysis:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activity to inform business development strategies. Coordinate with Product Management (PRM), to develop product line positioning and USP’s and train field sales personnel  

Partner Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Identifying, recruiting, and onboarding new agents and distributors, ensuring they understand the company’s products, sales process, and expectations

Reporting and performance tracking:

  • Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to leadership on business development activities. Use the CRM database program for documenting all sales contracts, calls and sales planning.  

Operations:

  • Primary contact for all customer correspondence regarding the Pre Engineered portfolio.
  • Develop updates to enhance and maintain competitive advantage with the Pre Engineered portfolio.
  • Assist with Pre Engineered operations: Manage order entry, production scheduling and prioritization.
  • Assist Central Purchasing and operations with reducing cost structure of the Pre Engineered equipment.
  • Support and comply with all applicable Syntegon policies and procedures, including HSE, ISO, Quality, etc. Support value stream initiatives.
  • Comply with all local and federal laws and IRS rules applicable to the position.
  • Attend and work tradeshows as required.
  • Performs other duties and projects assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

Excellent communication skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders both verbally and in writing. 

Strong interpersonal skills:

  • Building a rapport and establishing trust with clients to nurture long-term relationships. 

Negotiation skills:

  • Confidence in negotiating contracts and agreements to achieve favorable terms. 

Analytical skills:

  • Demonstrated problem analysis and resolution skills at both strategic and functional level. Ability to analyze market data and identify potential business opportunities. 

Strategic thinking:

  • Develop comprehensive business development strategies aligned with company goals. 

Project management skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple sales initiatives and ensure timely completion. 

Computer skills:

  • Knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) also SAP for quotations and expenses as well as sales contact management database software (CRM)

Legal skills:

  • Basic understanding of contract law, terms and conditions of sales

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Able to use AUTOCAD software and produce simple floor plans
  • Basic understanding of leasing and financing

Education Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or marketing (or equivalent product and technical experience), a minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and marketing roles and a proven track record of achieving goals with strong leadership skills.

The expected compensation range for this position is between $98,000. to $125,000. based on a full-time schedule.

Compensation for roles at Syntegon varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience. At Syntegon compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Total rewards at Syntegon include salary + bonus (if applicable) + benefits.
