· Develop strong commercial business cases to support contract negotiations and deal closure.
· Maximize revenue and ensure commercial profitability.
· Accurately prepare contracts and secure signatures.
· Collect and submit all onboarding documentation accurately to ensure a smooth service setup.
· Coordinate go-live plans in collaboration with local and global Planet teams.
· Maintain customer relationships until a formal handover to the Account Management team.
· Lead and deliver compelling new business presentations to prospective clients.
· Collaborate with the broader sales team, sharing insights, best practices, and strategies to drive success.
· Always represent Planet in a professional and constructive manner.
Who you are:
· Proven experience in new business sales, ideally within the payments industry.
· A proactive self-starter and natural networker with strong relationship-building skills.
· Track record of securing high-value, long-term partnerships and delivering strong commercial outcomes.
· Results-driven, agile, and performance-oriented.
· Knowledge of the Icelandic Retail, Hospitality, and Travel markets is a plus.
· Familiarity with Card Acquiring, DCC, retail payment solutions, or EPOS systems is advantageous.
· Understanding of Visa, Mastercard, and other card scheme pricing models is a plus.
· Experience negotiating merchant acquiring agreements is preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in a business or sales leadership role.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
