With a global footprint spanning 11 countries, $245 million in annual revenue, and over 950 employees, Munters FoodTech is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our presence in the Indonesian market, with a focus on the poultry, livestock, and greenhouse industries.

The Business Development Manager will serve as the primary representative of Munters FoodTech in Indonesia, spearheading efforts to grow our footprint in the poultry, livestock, and greenhouse sectors. This role is focused on driving business growth, building strong relationships with key customers (e.g., Japfa, CP Indonesia) and their dealers, and identifying new opportunities, particularly within the agri-poultry segment.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with extensive knowledge of Indonesia's poultry farming and livestock ecosystem, supported by a strong network of decision-makers and influencers within the industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Developments

  • Build and execute strategies to develop Munters FoodTech’s presence in the Indonesian market.

  • Identify growth opportunities and initiate business development efforts targeting poultry and livestock customers, integrators, and dealers.

2. Customer Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including Japfa, CP Indonesia, and their dealers.

  • Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs and align Munters FoodTech’s solutions to meet their requirements.

3. Sales & Partnerships

  • Drive sales of Munters FoodTech’s products, including controllers for ventilation and feeding systems.

  • Collaborate with dealers and distributors to optimize product reach and sales performance.

4. Competitor and Market Analysis

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and threats.

  • Provide insights to management for strategic decision-making.

5. Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with Munters’ internal teams across regions to align on product offerings, technical support, and marketing strategies.

  • Facilitate communication between the Indonesian market and global teams to ensure smooth operations.

6. Reporting and Strategic Planning

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Industry Expertise:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in the agri-poultry or livestock industry in Indonesia.

    • Familiarity with ventilation and feeding systems used in poultry and livestock farming.

  • Network and Relationships:

    • Proven connections with key decision-makers at leading integrators (e.g., Japfa, CP Indonesia) or their dealers.

    • Experience working in similar roles in related industry is highly preferred.

  • Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong business development and sales skills with a focus on controlling system, and solution selling.

    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.

    • Self-driven, with the ability to work independently and meet ambitious growth targets.

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Language:

    • Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English is required.

  • Travel Requirements:

    • Willingness to travel frequently across Indonesia and occasionally to other countries.
