General Information:
The Business Development Manager – Transformers Services is responsible for driving the growth of the Hitachi Energy Transformers Services portfolio. This includes identifying new business opportunities, building, and maintaining relationships with customers, and closing deals to drive orders growth. This is a remote role with up to 85% travel.
Your Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in targeted markets. Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to achieve business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Hitachi Energy front end sales and customers. Understand customers’ needs and provide solutions that add value to their business.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends and competitive landscape. Use this information to position our transformers services effectively in the market.
- Meet and exceed sales targets. Regularly report on sales performance and business development activities.
- Work closely with internal teams (like front end sales, product sales, marketing, and product management) to develop and implement business strategies.
- Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
- Have a strong understanding of the theory of operation and construction of transformers, current transformers, bushings, etc.
Your Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- 8+ years of proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of the transformers service industry and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build rapport with customers and internal teams.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Ability to travel domestically is an essential part of this position. Travel up to 85%
