The ideal candidate is competitive, self-motivated, and thrives in a performance-driven environment where success is measured by new customer acquisition, revenue growth, and pipeline development.

Core Responsibilities:

New Business Development

• Prospect and generate new commercial cleaning opportunities through cold calling, door knocking, networking, referrals, digital outreach, and company-generated leads.
• Research and qualify prospective customers to identify decision-makers, operational needs, buying potential, and sales opportunities.
• Develop and execute strategic territory plans that prioritize high-value prospects, maximize territory growth, and achieve revenue objectives.
• Build relationships with business owners, property managers, facility managers, office managers, and other key decision-makers.
• Maintain a consistent cadence of prospecting activities to build and sustain a healthy sales pipeline.
• Represent JAN-PRO professionally within the local business community through networking events and business development activities.

Consultative Sales & Customer Solutions

• Conduct on-site facility walkthroughs and assessments to evaluate customer needs, operational challenges, and service requirements and develop customized commercial cleaning solutions.
• Develop customized service proposals that align with customer operational needs, budget objectives, and JAN-PRO service standards.
• Prepare and present professional proposals that clearly communicate JAN-PRO's value proposition.
• Develop pricing proposals that align customer needs, company profitability objectives, and JAN-PRO service standards.
• Effectively overcome objections while maintaining strong customer relationships throughout the sales process.

Sales Performance & Pipeline Management

• Own the complete sales cycle from initial prospecting through signed contract and successful handoff to Operations.
• Maintain complete and accurate CRM records documenting prospect activity, customer interactions, opportunities, pipeline progression, and sales forecasts.
• Consistently achieve or exceed activity, pipeline, revenue, and new account goals.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and provide regular updates on pipeline and territory performance.
• Participate in sales meetings, coaching sessions, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
• Maintain awareness of competitor activity, market conditions, and pricing trends within the assigned territory.

Cross-Functional Partnership

• Partner with Operations to ensure a smooth transition from the sales process through customer onboarding.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer expectations are accurately communicated and successfully implemented.
• Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback to support business growth initiatives.

Critical Skills & Attributes:

• Proven ability to develop new business through proactive prospecting and relationship development.
• Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with business owners, facility managers, and executive decision-makers.
• Strong organizational and territory management skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and consistently achieve sales objectives.
• Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital prospecting tools.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Demonstrated success prospecting and closing new business.
• Experience selling recurring service contracts preferred.
• Experience managing the complete sales cycle from lead generation through contract execution.
• Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales goals.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Preferred Qualifications:
