Job Description

Are you a relationship builder with a passion for driving growth? We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to champion our forensic consulting services in Southern California, Phoenix, The Bay Area, Portland, Seattle, and Las Vegas—the most dynamic markets in the West!

In this role, you’ll:

  • Build and nurture strong client relationships—your network is your superpower.
  • Cross-sell innovative solutions and unlock new revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with Discipline Leaders and local experts to execute high-impact sales strategies and client events.

 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  

 

  • Develops and executes geographic strategy with a primary emphasis on commercially focused independent adjusters and regional insurance carrier targets. 

  • Builds and maintains collaborative relationships to effectively sell all services within assigned accounts to the appropriate level within the organization – ie. technical leaders and managers, experts, and sales colleagues. 

  • Collaborates with Major Account and Legal Market teams to service key client targets. 

  • Partners with Discipline Leaders and local experts to identify potential client/expert relationship opportunities. 

  • Maximizes growth through innovative marketing strategies, events, and Continuing Education training opportunities. 

  • Serves as a coach to expert teams on sales related skills and tools. 

  • Liaise with Marketing department to promote experts and service capabilities. 

  • Tracks all activity within CRM and acts as the contact/account data owner within assigned geography. 

  • Stays abreast of office and company policies, procedures, and practices; participates in ongoing training and development as assigned or approved to assure knowledge and skills remain current and comprehensive.  

  • +/- 35% Travel within Oregon, Washington, California, Arizona and Nevada, with occasional travel outside region.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.  

 

 

Required Skills/Abilities/Experience: 

  • 3+ years of related sales experience in the insurance industry. 

  • Effectively interact with a broad scope of internal and external stakeholders in the company’s and customer’s best interest. 

  • Commitment to working as a collaborative team member. 

  • Demonstrate strategic sales skills through proven record of success and achieving goals.  

  • Excellent interpersonal, and customer service skills. 

  • Sound written and oral communication skills, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, especially as applied to meeting both customer and operational needs.  

  • Performs duties timely and with a keen focus on maximizing return on investment. 

  • Attention to detail and accuracy. 

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM software.  

  • Teamwork, compassion, and respect toward others, in keeping with our 5 Guiding Principles, as well as integrity, accountability and adherence to standards of ethical behavior and professional conduct, and open and honest communication.  

 

Preferred Skills/Abilities/Experience: 

 

  • Existing client relationships within the assigned geography. 

  • Membership in local insurance related associations/organizations. 

 

Education: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience acceptable. 

The pay range for this position is 90,000 - 130,000 plus targeted bonus potential annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.

Base pay information is based on market location.
