Overall Responsibilities:  

  • Promote and build brand awareness for Starr across all profit centers  to Florida Producers through regular and consistent broker engagement;
  • Develop new business relationships and revenue opportunities within State of Florida;
  • Serve primarily as Starr marketing representative and engage (1) appropriate profit center staff as Subject Matter Experts and (2) RVP as needed and appropriate.
  • Solicitation of new opportunities will be based on the identified targets/appetites of the organization.
  • Collaborate cross sell opportunities originating in Florida throughout the Starr network.

Revenue Generation:

  • Generate profitable premium growth in Florida as a direct result of solicitation of submissions and new opportunities from producers;
    • Increase overall GWP from Florida Producers by 10% from 2026  to 2027*
    • Increase overall GWP from Florida Producers by 15% from 2027 to 2028*

Marketplace Development

  • Expand/Strengthen relationships with new and existing producers through regular and consistent meetings, presentations and outreach to meet local and divisional growth objectives;
  • Develop, manage, and grow broker base within Florida, identifying and increasing new producer relationships;
  • Operate as point of contact for regional broker activity to Starr Company home office and regional and local profit centers including individual broker structure, office locations, key personnel, business/operational changes, industry focus and competitor ranking.
  • Coordinate and facilitate sessions to highlight introduction meetings, product learning seminars and key account discussions between Broker and appropriate Starr Contacts.
  • As a result of frequent communication and engagement, share updates and findings with colleagues regarding major broker initiatives, staff changes and business development opportunities.
  • Coordinate and facilitate quarterly meetings, as appropriate, with key brokers to establish and monitor growth plans with major brokerage houses.
  • Maintain awareness of local trends; updates on competitor activity and new products

Reporting

  • Weekly written report to Regional Vice President detailing activity and pipeline will be required.
