Huntsman is seeking a Business Development Manager – Tolling supporting the Advanced Materials Division located in The Woodlands, Texas. This position will report to the Sales Manager - Infrastructure.

Job Scope

The Business Development Manager for Tolling Services in the Advanced Materials division will play a key role in expanding Huntsman's tolling business across the Americas. This position involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with customers, and driving growth in the tolling services market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Chemical manufacturing, with specific experience in tolling or custom manufacturing services and business development.

In summary, as the Business Development Manager, you will:   

Develop and implement a strategic plan to drive growth in Huntsman’s tolling services business, aligning with the division’s objectives and market opportunities.

Grow Huntsman’s number of accounts that require tolling services out of Ashtabula primarily but open to opportunities at the other sites

Build a capabilities framework for Huntsman tolling services that is aligned to Chemistry, Industry and/ or Applications

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting for new clients, generating leads, and securing contracts for tolling services.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.

Act as the primary point of contact for tolling services clients, managing the sales process from initial engagement through to contract negotiation and implementation.

Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients, demonstrating the value and benefits of Huntsman’s tolling solutions.

Work closely with internal teams, including technical service, operations, and product management, to ensure successful delivery of tolling services and alignment with customer requirements.

Lead negotiations with clients to secure favorable terms and conditions for tolling service agreements.

Oversee the contract lifecycle, ensuring successful execution and compliance with agreed-upon terms and service levels.

Manage Huntsman’s current account base and re-engage previous customers

Clearly forecast monthly demand of tolling needs and reduce volatility

Address and resolve customer issues and concerns promptly, coordinating with internal teams to deliver effective solutions and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on customer feedback and performance metrics.

Track and report on business development activities, sales performance, and market trends.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
 
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Required Qualifications

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.

An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

✅ Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in business development or sales within the chemical or advanced materials industry, with a focus on tolling or custom manufacturing services.

Skills & Knowledge

🔵 Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in a tolling or custom manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of the tolling services market, including customer needs, industry trends, and competitive dynamics.

🔵 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

🔵 High mathematical proficiency with ability to calculate impact of additional volumes on cost, price, and margin preferably in real time.

🔵 Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing complex contracts.

🔵 Ability to analyze market data, prepare reports, and make data-driven decisions.

🔵 Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

🔵 Driven self-starter who can operate in a highly autonomous environment

🔵 Works well with all levels of organizations from chemical operators to C-Suite Executives

🔵 Willingness to travel up to 40%
