Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our Surgery team and drive the growth of our surgical products division. As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding our market presence in the surgical products industry.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, and regulatory affairs to achieve business objectives.
- Actively acquire new customers for Medmix Surgery products by utilizing market intelligence data and own network.
- Translate a sales strategy into a KPI driven action plan and own the execution.
- Develop strategic business plans and sales strategies to achieve growth objectives.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities and potential competitors.
- Collaborate with the product development team to introduce new surgical products to the market.
- Drive sales of surgical products by understanding customer needs and promoting our product portfolio effectively.
- Understand customer needs in surgery and biomaterial industry
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the Surgical healthcare sector.
- Develop strategic business plans and sales strategies to achieve growth objectives.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with customers, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
Desired experience
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in life sciences, engineering, business or related field. MBA preferred.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures, medical terminology, and healthcare regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Skills and competencies
- Knowledge of surgical and/or medical device industry, preferably focused on biomaterials, bone graft substitutes or sealants.
- 5-10+ years of professional experience with proven track record of success in business development and sales within the medical devices or healthcare industry, particularly in surgical products.
- Commercial understanding and sales experience in B2B
- Strong experience in international business relationships.
- Experience in multicultural matrix team structures and should act as a team player
- A self-driven, commercial and solution-oriented mindset will support the success of the candidate.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers and partners.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and business acumen.
