Position Summary
As the Business Development Manager you are responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring new customers and expanding relationships within both our Small and Medium Business (SMB) and Corporate accounts. Ideally, you should be a self-motivated, results-driven professional with a consultative selling approach and a deep understanding of our products or services.Role and Responsibilities
Roles and responsibilities includes, but is not limited to:
Strategic business development
- Prospect and qualify leads to build and maintain a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets for both SMB and Corporate sectors.
- Conduct effective qualifying sales calls and presentations, adapting your approach to the specific needs of each audience.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to drive new business growth2. Client acquisition and relationship management
Account management and growth (Corporate)
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key corporate clients, serving as their primary point of contact.
- Develop a deep understanding of client business goals to provide tailored solutions and act as a trusted advisor.
- Identify and pursue up-sell and cross-sell opportunities within existing corporate accounts.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with clients and executives to review performance and align on strategic objectives.
High-velocity sales (SMB)
- Manage a high volume of leads and a short, fast-paced sales cycle, focusing on efficiency and closing new business.
- Provide a high level of support and customer service to SMB clients, ensuring their needs are met quickly and effectively.
- Educate SMB customers on the value of our solutions through consultative selling techniques.
- Handle objections and guide prospective SMB buyers through the sales process.
Internal collaboration and reporting
- Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, product, and customer success to ensure a seamless client experience and to align strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Generate regular performance reports for management, detailing progress on quotas and key performance indicators.
Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must be have/be able to:
- 8–10+ years of experience in business development, with a proven track record of winning sales contracts.
- Proven experience in a sales or business development role within the Corporate and SMB industry
- A strong network of contacts within the corporate and SMB industry is highly desirable.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Self-motivated, with a results-driven mindset.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and conferences.
