Business Development Manager, Retail & Commerce (Czech speaking)

Focused on thinking big and scaling fast around the globe, this agile team is responsible for end-to-end solutions for a diverse global customer base. Centered on data-driven technologies and innovation, these services include consulting, loyalty and marketing programs, business experimentation, and data-driven information and risk management services.
Within our Retail & Commerce (R&C) vertical in our Services BD team, we partner with leading retailers, eCommerce players, telcos, Big Techs, and media companies to drive growth and transformation. We are now looking for a Manager, Services Business Development to expand our footprint in Czech Republic and Slovakia and build long-term, strategic partnerships with flagship clients.
As Manager, Services Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our Retail & Commerce strategy in the region. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior client executives, you will introduce innovative, data driven solutions that address complex business challenges and position Mastercard as a partner of choice.
About the Role:
• Shape and execute the Mastercard Services growth strategy across Czech Republic and Slovakia, in close collaboration with the regional R&C team • Lead senior-level client discussions and drive the commercial agenda across Retail, eCommerce, Telco, Big Tech, and Media clients • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with flagship customers, becoming a trusted commercial partner • Create customized, well-structured client proposals, leveraging Mastercard's global Services portfolio, data assets, and subject-matter expertise • Partner closely with local and regional delivery teams to ensure high-quality post-sale implementation and identify follow-on sales opportunities • Drive market awareness of Mastercard Services' Retail & Commerce solutions through thought leadership, client events, and industry engagement
All About You:
• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage • Background in a top-tier consulting firm with exposure to retail clients, or a proven track record in business development, strategy, or commercial roles within leading retail, eCommerce, or digital organizations • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively both in English and in Czech verbally and in writing • Strong commercial mindset with an entrepreneurial, self-starter attitude • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to independently engage and influence C-level stakeholders • High level of drive, energy, and resilience, with strong ownership and accountability • Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
