About the Role
Kroll’s Restructuring practice provides effective solutions to clients including major banks, asset-based lenders, private equity firms, law firms, financial sponsors, corporates, and other stakeholders in distressed situations across industries.
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager for our Restructuring teams, including regional and global initiatives.
The key focus of this role is to drive revenue growth, build client relationships, and originate new opportunities across our restructuring services.
This role will work closely with Restructuring leadership to execute growth plans, strengthen market presence, and support the expansion of our client base.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Revenue Enablement
Identify and develop new business opportunities across priority sectors and target markets.
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective opportunities.
Support senior stakeholders in originating and converting new business opportunities.
Conduct market mapping and research to identify prospective clients and intermediaries.
Client & Intermediary Relationships
Develop and maintain relationships with clients and key market intermediaries, including banks, law firms, private equity firms, financial sponsors, and corporates.
Represent Kroll at industry events, networking functions, and targeted business development activities.
Support relationship-building initiatives that enhance Kroll's market presence.
Client Pursuit & Conversion
Assist with proposal preparation, pitch materials, credential presentations, and client meetings.
Support the opportunity life cycle from identification through qualification and conversion.
Coordinate with restructuring professionals to support business development efforts and client pursuits.
Cross Service Line Collaboration
Identify opportunities to introduce clients to Kroll's wider service offerings.
Collaborate with colleagues across service lines and geographies to support integrated client solutions.
Participate in regional and global business development initiatives.
Reporting & Analytics
Manage KPIs to track effectiveness of business development activity
Maintain disciplined pipeline tracking and reporting through internal systems (e.g. Salesforce)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business, or a related field
- Approximately 6-8 years of business development, client relationship management, sales, marketing, or commercial experience within professional services, consulting, legal, financial services, banking, or advisory environments.
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, build client relationships, and support revenue generation initiatives.
- Exposure to restructuring, insolvency, special situations, corporate finance, consulting, or other professional services environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of professional services businesses.
Strong understanding of restructuring, insolvency, or special situations advisory
- Strong commercial mindset with excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
- Highly proactive, relationship-driven, and results-oriented
- Experience working in a matrix, cross-border environment
