The Business Development Manager will focus on sales development for targeted clients, ensure revenue and profit goals are met, manage customer satisfaction, and develop sales strategies in the logistics industry.

What You Can Expect:
- Sales development of “in scope” clients of controlled business between Indonesia and worldwide countries (“in scope” to be defined in target setting session)
- Interact, drive and coordinate sales with counterparts in Indonesia
- Meet Revenue targets and Gross Profit targets (to be defined in target setting session)
- Meet Sales KPI of sales visit, sales lead and opportunities as company’s target through company’s CRM and related program (to be defined in target setting session)
- Use CRM accordingly to company policy
- Monitor and ensure customer satisfaction (for own account only)
- Identify new and potential customers on a regular basis, and exchange sales lead and market info to the Rhenus network
- Create database of target customers and strategy to deal with each
- Build the “Rhenus” brand in Indonesia
- Represent the company at trade fairs, chamber of commerce and other public attendances
- Any other job assigned by Superior (related to KPI)
- Bring new ideas to support the general company development for Rhenus with focus on Indonesia and specifically the Product / Vertical development for Intra-Asia Trade Lanes
- Support Sales team in the scope that any accounts that do not meet BDM’s criteria have to be assigned via Superior’s approval to new and appropriate account owner (Sales team)
- Support the development of all global key accounts that located in Indonesia
- Formulate short term and long-term sales plans and strategies to grow the business
Represent Indonesia in the Intra Asia Business Development team or committee
What You Bring:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/ Logistics or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years’ middle management level experiences of the logistics industry
- Proficient English and Bahasa oral/written communication skills
- Experienced in Freight Forwarding industry is necessary
- Computer basic knowledge, MS Office (Outlook, Words, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- “Can-do” mentality, empathic and positive attitude
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to persuade, influence, negotiate, and make formal presentations in meetings and training environments.
- Strong ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the business and customers
Skills Required
