Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Development Manager to to join our Video Systems Business and drive business growth across Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Francophone West Africa by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, expanding customer relationships, and achieving revenue targets. The role requires frequent travel, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to work across diverse markets and cultures.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Development & Growth

  • Develop and execute a regional business development strategy for Selected territory.
  • Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and growth areas.
  • Conduct market intelligence on competitors, pricing, industry trends, and customer needs.
  • Support market entry and expansion initiatives in new territories.

2. Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Achieve annual sales and revenue targets across assigned countries.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
  • Lead the complete sales cycle from prospecting to contract signing.
  • Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, and business cases.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements.

3. Customer & Partner Management

  • Develop long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners.
  • Manage relationships with senior decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify and establish channel partners, distributors, and resellers where applicable.

4. Regional Coverage

  • Manage business activities across:
    • Morocco
    • Algeria
    • Tunisia
    • Francophone West Africa (e.g., Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger)
    • Other assigned African markets
  • Travel regularly to meet customers, partners, and government stakeholders.

5. Strategic Partnerships

  • Identify and develop strategic alliances with industry players.
  • Participate in tenders, RFPs, and large-scale projects.
  • Build relationships with government agencies, industry associations, and key influencers.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events.

6. Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with sales, marketing, technical, finance, and operations teams.
  • Coordinate proposal preparation and customer solutions.
  • Provide market feedback to support product and service development.

7. Reporting & Forecasting

  • Prepare monthly sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
  • Monitor KPIs and business performance.
  • Maintain CRM records and customer data.
  • Present business reviews and market insights to management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field.
  • MBA is an advantage.
  • 10+ years of business development, sales, or commercial management experience.
  • Experience managing North African and/or West African markets.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new markets.
