We’re seeking to expand our footprint in the DACH region, and we’re hiring a Business Development Manager to join our Digital Engineering Services business unit.
This unit is specialized in Banking, Financial services & Insurance.
In this role, you will be focused on the Insurance industry, working closely with our first-class software engineering teams, partners and customers.
We deliver compelling and highly valuable business critical & digital transformation propositions, focused on transforming traditional sectors, enabling better efficiency, quality and delivering business critical functions.
You will have the backing of colleagues in Germany, UK and Portugal to help you succeed and help continue our rapid growth.

What will be your task!
- Within the Insurance industry (Traditional Insurance & Insurtechs), generating new leads, business opportunities, engage, create, and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
- Staying up to date by attending industry events, understanding and anticipating market trends, and leveraging social media (e.g. LinkedIn).
- Identifying, qualifying, and managing multiple sales opportunities at once.
- Autonomously manage your tasks, always with the support of your Business Development Director.
- Supporting in writing compelling and attractive proposals that will hit the mark with your customers and enable you to close the deals.
- Managing key targeted campaigns together with the Business Development and Business enablement teams.
- Think strategically and tactically.
What do we expect from you?
- You have strong Insurance market background & proven experience in the sector.
- You have experience in business development activities, namely the development and delivery of bespoke solutions and/or delivering digital transformation projects to customers within the industry.
- You understand the specificities, advantages and challenges of working with de-localized delivery (nearshoring) centres.
- You have an understanding or are interested in Software Engineering challenges & projects.
- You have a consultative style with good negotiation skills that enable you to develop meaningful relationships.
- You have excellent written and spoken German and English skills, with the ability to clearly understand, formulate and present functional/technical requirements.
- You can occasionally travel within and outside the EU.
