To drive the growth of SME Banking’s Forex (FX) and Deposit portfolio by supporting sales strategy, product development, and execution of business initiatives. The role focuses primarily on maximizing FX transaction volumes, enhancing SME customer experience, and ensuring alignment with CIMB’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Growth & Portfolio Management
- Manage and grow SME Banking’s FX and Deposit portfolio to achieve revenue and income targets.
- Drive FX transaction volumes through SME client acquisition, retention, and cross-sell initiatives.
- Support efficiency improvements by promoting digital adoption (e.g., e-statements, online FX transactions).
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to ensure CIMB’s SME FX offering remains competitive.
2. Product Development & Execution
- Collaborate with Product and Treasury teams to design and roll out SME-focused FX solutions.
- Translate sales and customer feedback into actionable enhancements for FX products and services.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of FX-related projects and campaigns.
- Track FX transaction targets and implement contingency plans when performance gaps arise.
3. Sales Enablement & Channel Support
- Support SME sales teams by setting FX transaction objectives and monitoring performance across regions.
- Drive cross-sell and up-sell of FX solutions (e.g., increased utilization, hedging, trade financing integration).
- Develop and roll out new sales initiatives and campaigns to capture high-value SME demographics.
- Conduct regular FX-focused briefings with branch and segment teams to align execution with strategy.
- Build SME salesforce FX competency through structured training and sales support.
4. Analytics & Reporting
- Prepare weekly/monthly dashboards and management decks on FX volumes, pipeline, revenue, and campaign performance.
- Apply data-driven analysis to prioritize opportunities and identify high-return SME segments.
- Provide insights on pipeline health, transaction blockers, and enablers for senior management decision-making.
- Develop marketing and sales collateral tailored for SME clients and internal sales enablement.
Skills Required
- Experience managing and growing SME FX and deposit portfolios
- Proven track record hitting FX transaction volume and revenue targets
- Experience collaborating with Product and Treasury teams on FX product development
- Ability to translate sales and customer feedback into product enhancements and execution plans
- Experience enabling sales teams through training, campaign rollouts, and performance monitoring
- Strong analytics skills to prepare dashboards, management decks, and data-driven insights
- Familiarity with digital banking channels and online FX transaction adoption
