About Business Development Manager EMEA:

The Business Development Manager EMEA will play a critical role in driving the company’s strategic growth agenda across the EMEA region. The core objective of the role is to lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of new market pportunities. This includes conducting in-depth market analysis, developing robust go-to-market strategies and leading successful launches in target countries.

The role requires a strong commercial mindset, the ability to lead projects cross-functionally and drive both strategy and execution. Ultimately, this position is accountable for accelerating revenue generation, establishing a strong market presence and ensuring long-term success in each new geography entered.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Market Planning

  • Conduct comprehensive quantitative and qualitative market research to identify potential new markets within EMEA.
  • Develop business cases for market entry, outlining strategic rationale, risks, opportunities, Go-to-Market Model, Financials, Implementation Roadmap.
  • Present recommendations to leadership on target countries, entry strategies, and resource allocation.

Market Launch Preparation

  • Define and oversee the execution of detailed go-to-market strategies for new markets including sales, marketing, customer service and regulatory.
  • Build and manage relationships with local partners, stakeholders, and industry bodies to facilitate smooth entry.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to adapt products, services, and operational models to local market requirements.
  • Customize End to End Sales Process to Country requirements.

Execution of Market Launch

  • Lead and coordinate launch efforts, ensuring timely execution of all preparatory activities, including hiring local teams and setting up infrastructure.
  • Oversee performance metrics post-launch, ensuring alignment with business objectives and making necessary adjustments.
  • Drive revenue growth and establish a strong market presence in the new markets.

Work Experience and Education requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Commercial, Sales, Sales Management, Business Development, Marketing or a related field, in Med Tech, preferably Surgery business.
  • Proven track record in strategy development and execution.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities required:

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with experience in market research and financial modeling.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, stakeholders and deadlines.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse cultures.
  • Proficiency in English + additional EMEA-relevant languages are a strong plus.
