The Role

Squarespace is looking for a Business Development professional who is passionate about the power of Squarespace's platform and products to help customers build their brand and their business. Our Business Development team serves to commercialize new partnerships and incubate new growth opportunities for the company. You will help identify new areas of potential growth, optimization and be the commercial voice for product teams.The team collaborates with Legal, Finance, Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing and more.

You will report directly to the Head of Reseller Channel Partnerships and can be based in our New York headquarters or remotely in an approved US state.

You’ll Get To… 
  • Optimize and grow our Domains & Email commercial partnerships, investing in strategic growth areas with domain registries and key partners in the domain industry ecosystem and professional email product offering. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, mostly the Domains & Email organization, to ensure strategic alignment and execution of partnerships 
  • Maintain direct and active relationships with partners, including proactively resolving business and technical issues and serving as an internal advocate
  • Communicate market opportunities, needs and partner feedback to teams to inform product roadmap and prioritization
  • Collaborate with design, product, engineering, legal, finance, marketing, and PR to launch, maintain, and grow product partnerships
  • Renegotiate and successfully find optimization paths in existing contracts, and ensuring favorable commercial outcome in new partnerships
  • Develop business proposals, structure projections and KPIs, and negotiate contracts
  • Represent Squarespace in external meetings with counterparts from other companies
Who We’re Looking For …
  • 5+ years of professional experience relating to partnerships, business development, strategy, or product management
  • Strong product sense, and comfort with considering basic technical feasibility of partner integrations
  • Proven competency and comfort with contracting large scale agreements
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and handle multiple time-sensitive initiatives without sacrificing attention to detail
  • Domain industry experience - highly preferred

Cash Compensation Range: $126,500 - $180,000 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive structure in addition to base salary.
