We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager to drive growth and market expansion in the Caribbean region. This role offers the opportunity to build and lead our business development initiatives, establish strategic partnerships, and contribute to organizational revenue growth in one of the world's most dynamic markets
This role will join our team at Mercer a Marsh Business, in Santo Domingo-Dominican Republic. This hybrid position requires working from the office at least three days per week.
We will count on you to:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market segments within the Caribbean region
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies aligned with organizational objectives
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key clients and stakeholders
- Lead business development initiatives from prospecting through closing
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated client solutions
- Manage relationships with executive-level contacts and decision makers
- Track and report on business development metrics, pipelines, and revenue forecasts
- Represent Mercer at industry events and conferences in the region
- Contribute to the development of compelling value propositions and client proposals
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, Economics, or equivalent professional experience
- 8+ years of professional experience in business development, sales, or management consulting
- Proven track record of successfully developing new businesses and building client relationships
- Advanced English proficiency
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
- Experience in professional services, consulting, or advisory sectors strongly preferred
