About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead the build-out of our commercial presence in Bahrain and the wider GCC region, operating as part of our APAC team.
This is a high-impact role focused on new market entry, revenue generation, and partnership development. You will take full ownership of building a pipeline, closing deals, and establishing TransferMate as a key player in the region.
What You’ll Do
Own new business acquisition across Bahrain and GCC, targeting corporates, fintechs, and strategic partners
Build and execute a local go-to-market strategy aligned with APAC leadership
Manage the full sales cycle – from prospecting through to deal close
Develop strategic partnerships (banks, fintechs, ERP platforms, payroll providers)
Create and maintain a high-quality pipeline across short and long sales cycles Deliver against ambitious revenue targets in a build-phase environment
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, compliance, and marketing teams
Provide market intelligence to shape our GCC expansion strategy
Act as The Principal Representative as an “approved person” by the CBB.
Act as the official individual responsible for the representative office in Bahrain.
What We’re Looking For
5–8+ years in business development / sales within fintech, payments, FX, or SaaS
Proven track record of closing new business and exceeding revenue targets
Experience building or scaling a new market, region, or territory
Strong partnership development and stakeholder management capability
Ability to operate independently in a high-growth, fast-moving environment
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
