Job DescriptionThe Business Development Manager, APAC reports to the Sales Director in Singapore and is responsible for driving growth across assigned customers and distribution partners in Asia. This includes managing the full ELPRO solutions portfolio, expanding revenue from existing accounts, and acquiring new customers. The role contributes to strategic sales planning in collaboration with the Managing Director and ensures alignment with global key account teams. Given the complexity of projects, accurate documentation of all sales and project activities in ELPRO’s ERP system is essential to support operational efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Drive revenue growth and profitability across existing accounts; retain and expand current customer base.
- Identify, engage, and close new business opportunities across the APAC region.
- Lead full-cycle sales processes from prospecting to contract negotiation and implementation.
- Own end-to-end customer relationship management, including regular touchpoints, feedback loops, and renewal discussions.
- Collaborate closely with customer service, project management, and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide input into annual sales planning and budgeting, aligned with organizational goals.
2. Partner & Channel Management
- Develop, nurture, and manage distribution partners to strengthen market reach and revenue impact.
- Support contract renewals and co-develop partner growth strategies.
- Collaborate with global key account teams to align local sales initiatives with global objectives.
3. Market Development & Strategic Input
- Analyze and understand market potential for ELPRO's complete solutions portfolio.
- Provide input to the Sales Director and Managing Director on strategic go-to-market activities, including pricing, positioning, and campaign ideas.
- Promote and build a strong sales culture focused on customer-centricity and solution-based selling.
- Ensure alignment between local execution and global strategy.
4. Sales Process & CRM Management
- Maintain meticulous documentation of sales activities, opportunities, customer interactions, and project updates in ELPRO’s ERP or CRM systems.
- Utilize analytics and customer feedback to improve win rates and sales cycle efficiency.
- Drive cross-functional alignment in project scoping and delivery through consistent updates and communication.
👤 Who You Are (Qualifications & Skills)
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience in both hunting and farming roles, across local and international markets with expertise in cold chain.
- Proven track record in complex B2B solution selling, especially in technical or software-driven environments.
- Strong commercial acumen with deep understanding of customer processes and buying behaviors.
- Proficient in CRM systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written); confident in delivering impactful presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage projects, and meet deadlines without micromanagement.
- Willingness to travel across Asia Pacific as required.
- High level of initiative, ownership, and entrepreneurial mindset.
Preferred/Nice-to-Haves:
- Industry exposure to pharmaceutical logistics, supply chain, or environmental monitoring solutions.
- Multilingual capabilities – fluency in languages beyond English is an advantage.
