To help us achieve this goal, we are expanding our team and looking to bring on a driven, passionate and experienced business development manager to spearhead our sales program for the Americas region.

The capabilities offered through this technology are revolutionizing the supply chain industry by providing businesses with a digitally rendered view of their operations that enables them to more easily optimize their network, simulate various scenarios and manage their operations by way of improved analytics and exception management. Moreover, through our platform, customers can leverage our advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities to enhance their data foundations and be more prepared to implement AI or other advanced capabilities into their supply chain

Job Description

In this role, you will have the opportunity to continue to shape our sales processes and help us realize our next phase of growth by bringing our next wave of clients into the program. Your core responsibilities in this role will be to lead customer acquisition for the Americas region which encompass the end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation and prospecting to client needs assessment and positioning our services to ultimately selling alongside key client stakeholders and helping to craft custom and impactful business cases to bring the deal over the finish line.

What You’ll do:

  • Prepare and perform needs assessments, construct proposals, and help us close new business opportunities
  • Conduct product demonstrations and case study presentations to potential clients, highlighting the benefits and features of our services and how they can address client's needs.
  • Develop presentations and write custom business cases alongside customer stakeholders that "tells a story" outlining how our solutions will support their business need to obtain the necessary budget
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders (internal and external) to maintain an active and healthy pipeline
  • Collaborate with SCS team members in other regions to “team sell” and target shared customers
  • Lead the development and adaptation of our existing sales process (sales playbook)

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

  • Knowledge of the Supply Chain and Logistics industry and inherent trade-offs faced when evaluating supply chain designs
  • Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships influence outcomes
  • Experience selling to complex, enterprise clients and comfortable navigating difficult conversations
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and when speaking
  • Easy to work with and able to adapt to changing dynamics 
  • Willing to take risks, fail and apply learnings towards an improved approach in the future
  • Can work independently and as part of a team. Able to receive and give feedback in a constructive manner but understand the importance of "sense of humor" in a working environment
  • Organized, goal oriented and focused
  • Creative and solid design eye for presentations or marketing material
  • Hard worker that takes immense pride in their work, their results and their overall contributions to the team
  • Ability to travel as needs arise

This position can be based in any one of our Americas Expeditors offices
