Easter Europe Cluster Manager
As a Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager, you will drive business growth for ABB Robotics by developing and closing opportunities across logistics-related industries (parcel, e-commerce, retail fulfillment, 3PL). Your focus will be on understanding customer needs, shaping tailored automation solutions, and winning new business.
You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, combining technical expertise with a strong commercial mindset. This position reports to the Country Manager and functionally to the Global Sales & Portfolio Team.
Your Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities in the assigned market
- Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and translate them into tailored technical solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Prepare and present compelling technical-commercial proposals
- Drive the full sales cycle – from lead generation and solution shaping to negotiation and contract closure
- Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to ensure successful solution implementation
- Develop ROI/TCO analyses to support customer decision-making and value-based selling
- Expand business through strategic partnerships (SIs, OEMs, software partners)
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new growth opportunities
Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Master’s or MBA is a plus)
- Proven experience in technical sales / sales engineering / business development
- Strong commercial mindset and customer-facing experience
- Ability to translate technical capabilities into customer value propositions
- Experience managing complex sales processes and negotiations
- Background in robotics, automation, or industrial solutions is highly preferred
- Comfortable working in an international and matrix environment
- Self-driven, proactive, and results-oriented
