Job Description 
We are looking for a full-time intern to join our International Business Development Team from July/August 2025 – August 2026. This is a paid internship based at our office in Copenhagen, Denmark.  

Why do we need you? 
We are looking for a Business Development Intern to join our global design community. As our new International Business Development Intern, you will be joining a dedicated team that strategically drives our projects in markets outside Scandinavia and client relationships. Our business development team is instrumental in generating, securing, prioritising and winning the projects that establish Henning Larsen as an international design studio. As we grow internationally, we need you to help us secure and generate new project opportunities, successful partnerships and collaborations.

Joining our Business Development team in our Copenhagen office, you will be part of a global design studio working with projects of all scales and sizes. From concert halls and university buildings, masterplans, headquarters, and sustainable housing, you will be a part of an organization with a creative culture and history of delivering award-winning architecture and pioneering sustainable design. 

Working closely with the Design Directors heading our International markets, you will be instrumental in driving Henning Larsen’s global business development from Copenhagen. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be: 

  • Supporting the Business Development team and the Design Directors with project pursuits, client management, implementing go-to-market strategies, and outreach strategies.  

  • Conduct market research and outreach in new business opportunities and partnerships. 

  • Prepare and manage marketing and outreach material.  

  • Identify. manage, prepare and track opportunities from lead stage to competition independently and together with the team.   

  • Contribute to proposals, bids, and presentations. 

  • Support and organise marketing campaigns, industry events, and client visits with the team. 

  • Manage stakeholders, partnerships, and provide strategic advisory to our Design Directors. 

What are we looking for? 

As our new Business Development Intern you will be part of our Copenhagen BD team of 10 diverse professionals, working internationally, and the Nordics, to enable our strategic growth. We are a dynamic and diverse team that are instrumental for the quality and growth of Henning Larsen. 

For this role, we believe your starting point is: 

  • Completed undergraduate degree; in-between studies, or ongoing post-graduate studies. Post-graduates, meaning people who have obtained a Master's degree, are not eligible for this internship and will not be considered for the role.   

  • A keen interest in design and architecture.  

  • Background in architecture/ built environment, business, or marketing, or similar.   

  • A strong communicator with fluency in written and verbal English. 

  • Copywriting experience and ability to write concisely for summarising key information.  

  • An eye for graphic design. 

  • A team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment – agile, dedicated and organised.  

  • A proactive team member who is eager to learn and develop.   

  • Fluency in German, French, or Dutch (preferred, not mandatory). 

  • Experience with InDesign (preferred, not mandatory).

Skills Required
