GenScript Europe division, headquartered in Rijswijk, Netherlands, with a branch office in Oxford, UK, was established in 2019 to serve as a hub for commercial, technical support and logistic in the European and UK region. In our ongoing commitment to enhancing service for our EU clients, we are building our first laboratory facility in the Netherlands this year.
Job Scope:
Main Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategic business plans to drive revenue growth and market expansion for GMP services in the assigned territory.
• Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with key clients, including pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, healthcare and research institutions.
• Actively prospect and qualify new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
• Deliver presentations and technical discussions to prospective clients, clearly articulating the value of GenScript’s GMP services.
• Represent GenScript at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
• Lead contract negotiations and secure long-term partnerships, ensuring mutual benefit and satisfaction.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams (including sales, marketing, logistics, technical support, legal, finance, project management and production) to ensure client needs are met efficiently and effectively. Collaborate with public tender specialist for GMP level inquiries.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and stay ahead in the market.
• Develop localized strategies for the Latin & Nordic Region to expand GenScript’s footprint in emerging and established markets.
• Ensure compliance with regional regulations and adapt sales tactics to suit diverse cultural and market contexts.
• Regularly report progress and results to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Business Development within the GMP field (mandatory).
• Proven track record of successful sales and revenue growth in a similar role.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Fluency in English. Proficiency in any other European language is a strong plus.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region (30%-40%).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
