About the role.
The Business Development Executive, HoReCa, is responsible for driving Food Service business growth across the assigned territory, with a focus on distributor management, customer acquisition, business development, and sales execution. This role will manage distributor networks across Navi Mumbai and KDMC, strengthen relationships with hotels, restaurants, cafés, and other food service customers, and support the achievement of sales and profitability objectives for the Food Service business.
What you'll be doing.
  • Manage distributors and sub-distributors, driving primary and secondary sales performance across the assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hotels, restaurants, cafés, and other HoReCa customers while expanding the customer base.
  • Track and report customer-wise secondary sales and ensure accurate reporting in company-prescribed formats.
  • Lead new product listings and execute customer-level business development initiatives.
  • Develop and grow the Food Service business by achieving assigned sales targets and business objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, distributor appointments, customer acquisitions, and town expansion opportunities.
  • Manage distributor-related commercial processes, including claims management, order placement, NCC activities, and commercial hygiene.
  • Coordinate product sampling, trade promotions, and business activation programs to drive demand generation.
  • Collaborate with and support TSIs and Supervisors to execute sales strategies and strengthen market presence.
  • Monitor territory performance, identify growth opportunities, and implement action plans to deliver business results.

What you'll need to be successful.
  • 3 to 8 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably within the HoReCa/Food Service segment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze sales data and generate actionable business insights.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities with the ability to build trust-based relationships.
  • Effective business planning, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities and convert them into measurable results.
  • Experience working in dynamic and fast-paced market environments.
  • Strong execution mindset with the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and achieve targets.
  • Experience managing distributors, customers, and commercial processes within a sales environment.
  • Leadership capability to influence and guide field teams toward business objectives.

About the team.
  • You'll be part of the Food Service Sales team, focused on driving growth within the HoReCa segment.
  • The team includes Sales Executives, Territory Sales Incharges (TSIs), Supervisors, and Line Managers working together to expand McCain's market presence.
  • This role serves as a key link between distributors, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective sales execution.
  • The team values accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and commercial discipline.
  • You will play a critical role in expanding McCain's Food Service footprint while delivering strong customer experiences and sustainable business growth.
