About the Role
Elavon is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Executive to help accelerate our growth and expand brand awareness across Canada. This is a 100% remote, outbound sales role focused on generating new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, relationship building, and market development. Leveraging referral partnerships, industry associations, organizations such as the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, business networks, and strategic outreach efforts, you will identify, engage, and acquire new merchant relationships.
This role is ideally suited for a true hunter who thrives on creating opportunities, opening doors, and driving results through persistence and initiative. While you will support businesses across a variety of segments, the primary focus will be identifying and acquiring mid-market merchants with more complex payment needs and significant growth potential.
*This is a fully remote telesales role, with no travel required. Success will be driven by your ability to prospect, network virtually, build relationships, and consistently convert opportunities into new business through phone, email, digital engagement, and virtual meetings.
**In addition to a competitive base salary, this role participates in a monthly sales incentive plan designed to reward top performance.
What You'll Do
• Build and maintain a self-generated sales pipeline through outbound prospecting activities.
• Identify and engage prospective merchants through phone calls, email campaigns, social selling, and virtual networking.
• Develop relationships with referral partners, industry associations, chambers of commerce, and other business organizations to create new opportunities.
• Increase awareness of the Elavon brand and value proposition throughout the Canadian market.
• Focus on acquiring mid-market businesses while supporting small and medium-sized businesses across a variety of industries.
• Conduct consultative discovery conversations to understand customer needs and recommend tailored payment and commerce solutions.
• Present and position Elavon's comprehensive suite of payment solutions, including point-of-sale, eCommerce, integrated payments, and value-added services.
• Manage opportunities through Salesforce CRM and maintain accurate pipeline reporting.
• Achieve and exceed monthly sales, prospecting, and pipeline generation goals.
• Collaborate with marketing, onboarding, operations, and customer support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in merchant services, payments, fintech, SaaS, technology, telecommunications, or B2B sales.
• Proven success generating and managing a self-sourced pipeline.
• Experience prospecting and closing new business opportunities.
