In your role as Business Development Engineer within the EPSD team, you will drive growth by identifying new prospects, managing key accounts, and delivering technical solutions. Based in Woodlands, you will manage customer relationships, provide expert advisory, and collaborate internally to oversee budgets and ensure profitable project delivery.How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Lead prospecting initiatives to identify new opportunities (30%) and expand business with existing customers (70%) across Singapore.
Define account-specific strategies and market plans to actively promote selected AL solutions and drive long-term business growth.
Serve as the primary professional and technical point of contact for complex customer inquiries, providing technical advice.
Coordinate internally to develop highly competitive technical and economic proposals compliant with industry and company standards.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to design mutually beneficial technical and commercial offers tailored to customer needs.
Support comprehensive risk assessments, clarify project scopes, and provide critical technical inputs to deliver safe, reliable solutions.
Lead commercial negotiations with customers to secure profitable agreements and maintain competitive market positioning.
Partner with the Business Development Head on strategic problem-solving, resource allocation, and tendering budget activities.
Oversee project budgets and maintain strong profitability for secured contracts by aligning closely with internal execution teams.
Work closely with onsite operations and project personnel to proactively anticipate customer expectations and analyze competitor practices.
Bachelor Degree in Science or Engineering (Process, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Chemistry preferred).
At least 2–3 years of experience in industrial activities (such as operations or maintenance), project management, procurement, or construction management.
Proven background in proposal engineering, or technical project management.
Great financial acumen with the ability to build detailed cost estimates, manage tendering budgets, and interpret complex contract terms.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a proven capability to serve as an effective bridge between clients and engineering teams.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, build strong rapport with decision-makers, and travel across Singapore as required.
