Business Development Engineer - Body Worn Solutions

We are looking for a business-focused, technically grounded Solutions Engineer to take a leading role in expanding our Body Worn Solutions offering across the EMEA region. This is a high-impact role for someone passionate about working at the intersection of technology and customer engagement, helping regional sales teams across EMEA achieve success in delivering body worn solutions.

Depending on your background we see that this role can be placed either in EMEA Business Development or EMEA Engineering, Training and Portfolio Strategy team. Regardless of the organizational placement we see you’ll be a trusted partner to sales and channel teams, providing the expertise and guidance they need to position, demonstrate, and deliver Body Worn solutions that win business.

This role can be based in any of the following Axis EMEA office – Munich, Germany; Lund, Sweden; Luton, England; Rotterdam, Netherlands; Paris, France; Warsaw, Poland; Milan, Italy; Prague, Czechia; Madrid, Spain

WHAT WILL YOU DO

You’ll act as the go-to technical authority for Body Worn Solutions across the EMEA region, focusing on enabling sales, supporting key opportunities, and ensuring successful customer engagement.

Your main objective? Support Axis regional sales teams and partners to successfully win and deliver projects. Whether that means supporting our regional sales reams running a pilot, training a partner, troubleshooting in the field, or be part of tailoring a proposal—you’ll be at the center of the action.

In this role, you will:

• Support regional sales teams with deep technical knowledge to position and close Body Worn opportunities.
• Drive and manage pilots, proof-of-concepts, and demos, ensuring customers experience the full value of our solutions.
• Contribute to technical strategies for tenders, proposals, and solution design.
• Enable partners and internal teams with training, workshops, and field guidance.
• Support as a key technical contact in strategic customer engagements and market verticals.
• Track market requirements, and technology trends to refine go-to-market strategies.
• Represent Axis at events, speaking engagements, and internal briefings to promote the Body Worn portfolio.
• Provide field-based insights back to product management, helping inform future product direction and roadmap decisions.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You're a commercially minded engineer—an enabler who understands both technology and customer decision-making. You take pride in being hands-on, responsive, and trusted by sales teams and customers alike.

You bring:

• Strong technical grounding in and experience from developing, deploying, or integrating Body Worn solutions in large-scale environments
• Experience in technical pre-sales, solution design, or customer-facing engineering roles.
• A passion for helping sales teams win, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into real customer value.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to lead customer-facing engagements.
• Curiosity, creativity, and a self-starting mindset.

Education and Experience

• Proven experience from Body Worn companies or similar wearable technology environments
• Experience with IP Networking (LAN/WAN)
• Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, Zero Trust)
• Knowledge in surveillance, video, and optics is a plus
• Software development or system integration experience preferred
• B.S. degree in computer science or a related field is preferred

TRAVEL

You should expect travel across the EMEA region for customer visits, pilots, and training sessions, as well as regular visits to our HQ in Lund, Sweden.
