The role you’ll play 

The Business Development Director will be a key factor in our current growth. The ideal candidate will work across our ecosystem of technology and services to deliver high value solutions to enterprise clients. You will have a consultative mindset and be comfortable managing the large volume of inbound requests we receive as well as cold contacting new prospects up to C-Level stakeholders. 

You’ll be given the training, tools and solutions to target and approach prospective clients, highlight the value of our ecosystem and convert them from prospect to customer. 

You will be based in our office in Paris. 


The team you’ll be a part of 

You’ll have a crucial role in our LanguageWire Business Development Team and be a key driver of our business in your country. You will report to our Head of Business Development and be a member of his regional teams. You’ll interact with local colleagues in your branch office but you will also work with colleagues across our value chain up to the C-Team.

  • Understanding and articulating LanguageWire’s services, capabilities, benefits and competitive advantages and knowing when to involve colleagues for best results 
  • Working across value chain to close inbound leads 
  • Creating leads by researching prospective clients through a mix of strategies 
  • Outreach & follow up prospects & new clients 
  • Representing LanguageWire at commercial events/trade fairs/thought leadership occasions 
  • Pipeline management & forecasting of revenues 
  • Establishing & developing relationships with enterprise targets 
  • Create proposals, lead presentations, manage RFPs & negotiate contracts 
  • Understanding & articulating LanguageWire’s services capabilities, benefits & unique value proposition 
  • Coordinating internal resources, teams and talent to win client trust and drive revenue 
  • Being a strong team player whose contributions, ideas and feedbacks are well appreciated by the team, and who can always fully rely on the other team members

  • You understand our business, the business of your customers and how LanguageWire has provided value to them 
  • Your colleagues can rely on you as a resource for describing in detail the case studies for your book of business and beyond 
  • You have hit your annual target and are well prepared to easily surpass next year’s targets

What you’ll need to bring 

  • 3 - 7 years sales experience, preferably within the localization industry  
  • The desire to learn about new technology, solutions and processes and the ability to effectively communicate their benefits to potential clients 
  • Understanding of the sales lifecycle - from lead generation through business closing 
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets 
  • Proven ability to be self-driven 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • A consultancy tool box (problem solving, analytical mindset, stakeholder management, presentation skills etc.) 
  • Effective time management 
  • Can Do Attitude, Fast learner, Ready to take challenges 
  • Professional Language Proficiency in both French and English are obligatory, further languages will be advantageous

  • Experience in the translation/content or technology industry preferred 
  • Proven success in SaaS &/or localization sales 
  • Experience integrating platforms & systems to drive value
